Bryce Hopkins, the top recruit in Louisville's 2021 class, decommitted from the Cardinals on Sunday.

The 6-foot-7 forward from suburban Chicago posted "RESPECT MY DECISION" on his Twitter feed after ESPN and other outlets reported the development.

Hopkins, from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill., is ranked No. 32 in the ESPN 100 and ranked No. 41 nationally by 247 Sports. Both have him as the No. 2 prospect in the state of Illinois in the Class of 2021.

Hopkins committed to Louisville and coach Chris Mack in November 2019. He also visited Wisconsin, Kansas and Northwestern.
