The 2022 Big 12/SEC Challenge matchups were revealed Wednesday, featuring a clash between college basketball bluebloods Kentucky and host Kansas at historic Allen Fieldhouse.
All 10 teams from the Big 12 and 10 schools from the 14-member SEC will participate in the ninth annual competition on Jan. 29.
The SEC won the competition by a 5-4 margin in 2021 and holds a 25-24 advantage over the last five seasons.
In addition to the Wildcats visiting the Jayhawks, the 10-game lineup includes defending national champion Baylor at Alabama, West Virginia at Arkansas, Oklahoma at Auburn, Oklahoma State at Florida, LSU at TCU, Kansas State at Ole Miss, Mississippi State at Texas Tech, Missouri at Iowa State and Tennessee at Texas.
Specific times and television information will be announced at a later date.
Kentucky (2,329 wins) and Kansas (2,323) are the two winningest programs in NCAA history. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 23-10, but the Jayhawks have won four of the last five meetings.
