The Cardinals held a 30-28 advantage at the half. The Eagles pulled within 38-37 after a free throw by Post with 13:40 remaining, but Louisville answered with a 9-1 push to go up 47-39 on Malik Williams' 3-pointer with 11:13 to go.

The Cardinals stretched their lead to as many as 16 points in the closing minutes.

Bickerstaff's layup with 13:54 to play in the opening half gave BC a 7-5 edge before Locke's 3-pointer at 13:29 put Louisville in front for good.

Boston College returns home to face Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Louisville caps a quick two-game homestand versus Notre Dame on Saturday.
